Po stopách myslivce - O zvěři a lovech – Bouzek Ota (2021)

The older a person gets, the more clearly they realize how deeply some past experiences are embedded within them. The memories described in this book are selected from my lifelong experiences as a forester and hunter. They took place in the Jeseníky Mountains, and the stories are depicted based on reality as I experienced them amidst the beautiful forests. I loved the Jeseníky, my forest district, nature, and wildlife. I have always approached this selection from an almanac of immense beauty with humility, respect, and admiration. My health no longer serves me as I would wish, and so here, at least in memories, I return to my younger years. Through these stories, I also thank my family—my wife, son, and daughter—for their support, as well as for the occasional favor of Saint Hubert or the affection of the hunting goddess Diana. I hope that the memories presented here, which took place in the fragrant Jeseníky forests, will be enjoyed by the readers. ***** If that is the case, then the hunting and wildlife stories written here surely bear the right title: In the Footsteps of the Hunter.
