For the permission to marry her cousin, the wealthy fiancés donated new paintings for the Stations of the Cross to the little church. Mrs. Lorenc was delighted that it turned out this way and that her sister's daughter was the lady of the estate, which her late husband, consumed by greed, would not have allowed her to have even a share of. She managed to replace everything for her sister's daughter, even the love of a mother. Her own son was rewarded with happiness alongside a faithful, good woman, whom he once comforted in her greatest sorrow. Both the old and young Mrs. Lorenc still say today that everything happened by God's design.
