More than four years after the release of the book "From the Realm of Forest Heroes," another book by Ing. Václav Lajtner, "The Territories of Good Bucks and Other Hunting Stories," is being released on the Czech market. This time, the author describes his own hunting experiences from territories in Russia, Slovenia, and Slovakia, but mainly from hunting grounds in his Czech homeland. As the title suggests, most of the hunting stories focus on hunting bucks, particularly through stalking during the rutting season and beyond, which has become very dear to the author. He also described buck hunting to a lesser extent in his previous book, but this time the focus is mainly on trophy-worthy or rare bucks. In a total of twenty stories, Václav Lajtner also shares experiences from his hunting expeditions for moose, deer, chamois, wild boars, capercaillies, and small game. It's hard to evaluate the book before its release, as many readers have many opinions, but if you were captivated by the author's unique style of describing the environment and his own hunting as presented in his previous book, you can expect equally engaging and thrilling stories of the hunter's encounters with game in its natural habitat, unexpected and at times dramatic experiences that were a natural outcome of the moment.
