Description
Marie Mertová comes from a small village. She falls in love with the son of a feuding family. Her love must be mourned. Her parents subtly introduce her to a partner they would like to see by her side. Marie gets married and has two children. However, life does not allow her to raise the children together with her husband. She remains alone with all her worries and problems. She does not lose faith in a better life. She secures a good job and later studies while working. She buys a car and becomes an emancipated woman. Several partners pass through her life, but a stable relationship never materializes. The failures are always caused by those closest to her. The family appropriates the mother, seeing her only as a woman meant to fulfill maternal duties. She should have understanding for everyone, but there is no one who understands her. In the last third of her life, hope dawns for Marie. Is it possible that she might finally find what she has longed for her entire life? Namely, love?
