Description
Venuše Churáčková is convinced that her husband is cheating on her with the curator of the city museum. She wants to catch him "in flagranti" in the suspiciously glowing building of the museum, but instead of both sinners, she is met with a shocking surprise: the dead director of the museum lying on the floor and an empty space on the wall of the exhibition hall where the paintings of master Vincenc Nevyjel were supposed to hang, whose works also adorn the Louvre in Paris. Does the theft of the paintings relate to the director's death? What side affairs did Venuše Churáčková's husband occasionally talk about? Who and how could have gotten into the locked museum building at night? Who started that strange roulette for paintings worth millions, among whose players were also the heirs of the famous painter, and even the mayor of the town? Untangling the puzzle of who ultimately profited from Churáček's side affairs is not an easy task for detectives.
