Pětadvacet na pamětnou - Dotazník osobnostem českého folku – Palán Aleš (2023)

Many of them are actually pioneers, the founders of the genre. They form the first Czech (Czechoslovak) folk generation. They began performing even before normalization, against which they then defined themselves as one man – or woman. Their songs contributed in part to the change of regime, or at least to making it somewhat bearable here. Even today, they do not live off past glory; many of them continue to create and perform, and their new songs do not hide in the shadow of earlier hits. They still have something to say. ***** Journalist Aleš Palán therefore asked twenty-five of them questions that are not usually posed. This resulted in a kind of folk personnel questionnaire. The answers are as diverse as the songwriters themselves: contemplative, humorous, and slightly eccentric.
