Description
Kratochvil's new composition "Pocket Novel for Pickpockets" has a real pickpocket as its narrator. However, he is not ordinary. The motto of the novel reminds us that the great writer Jorge Luis Borges, who chases stories, referred to himself as a pickpocket. Kratochvil's Robert Mráček is a kleptomaniac, his first wife Kateřina lights her cigarette from a lightning bolt, the second, Pastorela, advocates for air travel, the man flies away to a deserted island and lives a Robinson Crusoe existence, with an orangutan playing the role of Friday. The surrounding world is engulfed in war, presumably a third world war. In that spirit, the hero's adventures continue, believe it or not. I had the honor and luck to follow them already in manuscript on the screen. But the book is an experience for all strange pickpockets and their followers. We have a great celebration together.
