Anglicko-český slovník fyzioterapie – Gogelová Helena (2023)

The English-Czech Dictionary of Physiotherapy contains over 16,000 entries and captures the commonly used contemporary professional vocabulary in the field of physiotherapy from an English-Czech perspective. The dictionary exclusively includes terms found in original British or American sources or identified in practice during foreign internships. It contains anatomical terms relevant to physiotherapists, professional terminology from the fields of diagnostics and examination procedures, terms from various clinical specialties, as well as terminology of physiotherapeutic procedures and methodologies prevalent in Anglo-Saxon countries. It includes a number of abbreviations and acronyms that are widely used in English. The usage of some terms is clarified with example sentences. The dictionary is intended for specialists working in the field of physiotherapy: physiotherapists, rehabilitation doctors and nurses, students and teachers of physiotherapy, as well as spa workers. It can also serve massage therapists, non-medical healthcare personnel, and instructors of medical English very well.
