Description
The monograph Palliative Medicine for Practice became a popular and indispensable basic textbook in the field after its first edition in 2007. After fifteen years, the organizers decided on a significantly revised third edition, updated and expanded to nearly double its original length, taking into account the needs of the field. The author team has also changed, and the organizers invited experts from other faculties and from practice to collaborate.
The book provides practical guidance for addressing the most common physical and psychological manifestations of advanced stages of both oncological and non-oncological diseases, as well as other practice-oriented information on communication, ethical, legal, psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of palliative care. It is intended for all healthcare professionals who come into contact with incurably ill patients in their practice.
