Ortodoncie – group of authors (2020)

A team of experts and educators from several medical faculties in the Czech and Slovak Republics has prepared a new basic textbook on orthodontics, a specialized medical field that deals with the diagnosis, therapy, and prevention of abnormal tooth positions, relationships of dental arches, and jaws. The textbook also describes the development and growth of the jaws, skull bones, the development of occlusion, anomalies in this development, and their treatment methods. This modern textbook, with rich color illustrations, offers a clear and concise overview of the main aspects of this field of dentistry – diagnosis, prevention, and therapy of all forms of dental anomalies. The authors drew on both their own experiences and contemporary world literature in preparing the text. The book contains the fundamentals of the field, which have been validated by many years of clinical practice, as well as new insights, with defined indications and descriptions of procedures.
