Description
The seventh volume of the Motol Pediatric Seminars editorial series summarizes the lectures from a thematic meeting of pediatricians and neurologists held at the Motol University Hospital in Prague. Cerebral palsy is an issue at the intersection of pediatrics and pediatric neurology, as well as several other medical fields. Currently, significant positive shifts are occurring in the diagnosis and treatment options for the individual symptoms of this serious condition. Although complete healing is not possible, the quality of life for pediatric patients is significantly improving. The topics included in the publication demonstrate that interdisciplinary collaboration is key: the care of children with cerebral palsy involves neonatology, genetics, radiology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and other specialists. Successful examples of advanced diagnostics and innovative therapeutic approaches are also presented in this publication.
