A remarkable monograph mapping the life stories of two friends and cursed artists. The painter and photographer Miroslav Tichý and the poet Jiří Veselský were connected by Kyjov and a common theme of the female body. The book is based not only on written documents but primarily on the memories of personalities who knew both creators, as well as the author's own memory, who was friends with them for many years. It relies on nearly a thousand letters exchanged with the poet Jiří Veselský, in which Miroslav Tichý is often mentioned. Olič quotes several of Veselský's poems that illustrate the artist's life peripeteia, and also reproduces and interprets photographs by Miroslav Tichý. Olič's monograph thus reads more like a factual novel about two outsiders who created a work that we still somehow struggle to understand, rather than a literary-historical work.
