Description
The author (born 1987) is a poet and prose writer. He has published in magazines such as Host, Tvar, Pandora, Protimluv, and others. He writes reviews of books and comics for cultural magazines. He studies Czech studies and aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno. His first collection is introduced by verses from Louis Aragon: "All terrible disasters threaten those who marry a fairy / and want to go with her to lands not found on any map"; and indeed - the intercity is for him a precursor to all gaps and "blind spots" of our existence. At the end of journeys, there are no destinations, only ports, brief stops before the next journey. The intercity is an attempt to disrupt the certainties of poetry, paradoxically a gentle temptation of well-trodden paths.
