Sál smrti – May Peter (2016)

Margaret Campbell and Li Jen in the third installment of the Chinese thrillers. Eighteen mutilated, dismembered female bodies are found in a mass grave in Shanghai. Li is sent to the scene because the discovered corpses may be linked to an old unsolved murder in Beijing. He is faced with a view of a horrific crime unlike anything seen in China before. Meanwhile, Margaret must confront doubts about her tumultuous relationship with Lim and his influence on their professional collaboration. However, when she returns from the United States after her father's funeral, she finds that any relationship with Lim, both romantic and professional, may now be in jeopardy. Mej-Ling, the deputy commander of the local criminal department, is closely working with Lim and apparently wants more than just that. How can Margaret, the 'foreign devil,' compete with a woman who is closer to Lim in every way? As investigators come to the horrifying realization that the women were vivisected, they dreadfully understand that they are dealing with an inhuman monster. The closer they get to the cold-blooded killer, the more certain they are that they will have to confront not only him but also their own nightmares.
