Description
Wallander in the fight against those who exploit the vulnerabilities of the modern digitalized world. A man stops to withdraw money from an ATM and inexplicably collapses dead to the ground. It appears to be a tragic accident. A taxi driver is brutally attacked by two teenage girls. This is no accident, but a clear murder. The local police, who immediately apprehend them, are shocked by their indifference. Shortly thereafter, a widespread power outage strikes Skåne. However, when a technician arrives at the substation in Ystad, he is met with a horrifying surprise. Commissioner Kurt Wallander is convinced that these events must be connected. Yet, the clues lead to a certain computer, and the commissioner is not exactly a fan of modern technology. He must rely on others, which he does not like at all. Wallander knows that time is mercilessly running out. The case is taking on catastrophic proportions, the perpetrator hides in the anonymity of cyberspace, and the police are always one step behind...
