Description
Interdisciplinary work on the border between the theory of visual art and literature deals with diachronic research into the essence of the concept of visual poetry, emphasizing its development in the post-war period and in connection with a broadly developed movement that, like few others, was rooted in international exchange of ideas. Through reflections on various contexts of European avant-gardes and a synthetic analysis of contemporary theories, visual poetry is examined as an unbounded artistic current, expressing itself through a wide range of artistic means. The work also presents a proposal for a typology of the poetics of Czech creators and aims to highlight the original aspects of the domestic discussion on visual poetry.
