Description
Who should literature defend? Does Host even have someone to defend? Should the state support it? And how? Is poetry doomed to live in a ghetto? Can prose compete with audiovisual media? What are we as authors doing here? In June 2015, the first post-November Writers' Congress took place, subtitled "We Are Rewriting the Present." Leading poets and prose writers, as well as literary critics, sociologists, and philosophers, spoke here about the state of literature, its relationship with society and the state. The proceedings contain rhetorical contributions that were presented at the Congress.
