A dark crime thriller from Cork, Ireland. On a rainy November morning, a field on Meagher's farm reveals the bones of eleven women. In this part of Ireland, unmarked graves are common. However, these bones date back to 1915, long before the conflict between Catholics and Protestants began. Moreover, it seems that their executioner did a very meticulous job. The women were almost certainly skinned alive. Inspector Katie Maguire from Cork is used to dead bodies. But this is sheer butchery. Her team believes it is just a waste of time, that it is pointless to deal with women long dead. However, Katie is determined to help them achieve justice. Then a young American tourist goes missing, and her bones, carefully stripped of flesh, are found on the same farm. Katie will have to confront not only ancient crimes but also their horrific echoes in the present. Will she manage to solve the ritual murders committed decades ago before the brutal killer strikes again?
