Kruhy pod očima – Mertl Věroslav (2014)

The last literary work of a significant Czech spiritually oriented author. It consists three-quarters of 'diary' entries, but the division is merely formal. The book holds together nicely thanks to a reliable linchpin, whose name is — persistence. It was this that allowed the seemingly fragile, lyrically inclined writer to face the adversities of time and his own doubts. It dictated to him the need for constant self-reflection and the courage not to shy away from pressing questions and to seek answers regardless of whether he does so through simple entries or more demanding forms.
