Description
A collection of ten Nordic stories from the hills, mountains, rivers, and glaciers of Scandinavia, Iceland, Greenland, Svalbard, Alaska, and Russia. Sometimes with hands gripping an ice axe, other times a paddle or even the handlebars of a bicycle. The stories mostly end surprisingly or at least unexpectedly. The experiences are presented in a light humorous form, during which you won't feel cold, nor will you suffer from a fear of heights, whirlpools, distances, and waves. Perhaps with the exception of a single southern story, a tale from Croatia, our favorite vacation country, where, according to adventurers, you can hardly expect anything substantial besides lying on the beach.
