An interview about searching for roots in the traditions and mysticism of the legends of the native land and about humility towards God's universe, accompanied by a photographic essay on images of the world seen as maps of heaven and earth. ***** Roman Řezáč, or rather Roman Johan Hubert Řezáč, was born in Dolní Polici, the former Sudeten German Niederpolitz, into a Czech-German family in a house where his ancestors lived, worked, and died for several generations and which he never permanently left. He was born thirteen years after the end of what might have been the last world war and ten years after democracy died in this country. He was born into a time when our country was condemned to walk with its head bowed for many years, and its people wore determinedly smiling faces with fear in their eyes.
