Description
Children and parents have loved the poet Hynek Vilém since his debut Good Dog for a Little One, which jumps over poop, and later for his excellent adaptations of books like The Little Natterjack or Do You Know What the Mouse Has in Its Diaper? The presented anthology includes the best poems from his published and unpublished collections. Witty wordplay, tongue twisters, absurdities, verses surprisingly tender, but occasionally provocative and sometimes even slightly indecent (a few times perhaps even 'over the line'). The poet's favorite characters come to life: the well-known Bořek the Builder (from Buffalo), the stuttering Kangaroo, the quirky Ostrich Emu, the mysterious Kadimůra, or the runaway whip from Litomyšl. And they all engage in silly antics: the kangaroo steals in a supermarket pouch, the ostrich and elephant jam to jazz, the bear drinks beer, the crow showers in a toilet bowl, rabbits play tennis with their droppings, the cuckoo on the beech cuckoos into Facebook, animals surf the internet, and the whole forest sends SMS... The book is accompanied by the poet's humorous comments on how the individual poems were created, what inspired him, and above all, why it is essential to look at the world poetically from a young age!
