Manifest čtyř - Program pro přátele svobody – Mikš František (2017)

The book emerges from the creative workshop of four long-time friends who have been establishing a conservative-liberal center for nearly a quarter of a century and are also connected through editorial work in the journal Kontexty. The community of four authors, one of whom is currently active in high politics, two in academia, and one in the civic sector, describes the problematic trends in our and European politics since the "Year of Miracles" 1989 and analyzes the causes of the current crisis. In thematically organized chapters and a concluding recommendation, the authors offer a path to a value-based and effective solution to the most pressing problems of the present and formulate key ideas on which authentic right-wing politics can be restored in our country – and indeed democratic politics as such, which is currently in crisis. The publication can also be read as a comprehensive response to various confusing, superficial, and emotional petitions and calls regularly produced by some Czech public intellectuals. Hence the somewhat expressive title Manifesto of the Four.
