Description
The character of the mad Roman Emperor Caligula, who appears in many literary adaptations, takes on unexpected forms in Camus's famous drama. His Caligula perceives the shortcomings of the world around him and rebels against them. In response to the absurdity he strongly feels, he engages in deadly games, wanting to change the world and spreading death around him. He provokes a rebellion, and although he mocks it until the last moment, he becomes its victim. The play, which surprises with its relevance, is offered in a new translation by I. Zmatlík. It is published as the 101st volume of the D series.
