Revizor – Gogol Nikolaj Vasiljevič (2023)

A satirical comedy by a Russian classic pokes fun at the stupidity and ignorance of officials in a provincial Russian town, who fall for the fake "inspector" Chlestakov, who shamelessly exploits their corruption, bribery, and sycophancy. It is published in a translation by Zdeněk Mahler as the 73rd volume of the D series.
