Description
A significant Swiss author applies his confession that "for us, only comedy fits the sloppiness of this century" in his drama about the ancient hero Hercules, who accomplished a dozen great heroic deeds during his life. He takes us to Elis, which, under the rule of Augeas, is drowning in filth. He is unable to resolve the situation and thus turns to the renowned hero Hercules, asking him to clean up the neglected Elis. Can the brave hero overcome this superhuman task as well? The play is published in translation by J. Stach as the 158th volume of the D series.
