Description
In his last comedy from 1673, Molière settles scores with the quacks of his time and their often bizarre healing methods. The author himself, who played the main character in the play, died during the fourth performance when he was struck by a violent coughing fit at the end of the show. The play remains one of the most entertaining and frequently performed comedic works of French classicism. It is published in the D series in a translation by Svatopluk Kadlec as the 112th volume.
