PRAGANO - Český triumf na hokejovém MS 2024 – Procházka Tomáš (2024)

The hockey festival hosted by Prague and Ostrava in May 2024 turned into an unexpected, yet all the sweeter and brighter triumph for the home team. Our players, led by new coach Radim Rulík, were not given much faith in their quest for the highest honors. However, the unbelievable became a reality. A mix of team cohesion, fighting spirit, selflessness, necessary luck, and undeniable quality brought the Czech hockey players to the very top. They navigated the group stage as needed, avenged previous defeats against the Americans in the quarter-finals, bombarded the previously dominant Swedes with a barrage of goals in the semi-finals... and in a thrilling final, they managed to outplay the excellent Swiss team. The decisive goal was scored by the one from whom the entire nation expected it: David Pastrňák. However, not only he and other big names from the NHL, but also all the other players, including those who for various reasons may not have participated in the final matches, deserve our gratitude and admiration. In this team, every player was a star in the best sense of the word: from goalkeeper Dostál to the substitutes. The same goes for the coaching staff... and last but not least, for the wonderful fans who transformed themselves into the legendary seventh player and the whole...
