The Atlas of Forgotten Fungi is the result of the author's more than thirty years of almost detective-like and patient research in archives and among living mycologists and witnesses. The research has stopped at number 52. The author is convinced that this is not the final number, and thus he decided to give his search a book form in the hope of reaching out to other enthusiasts who will be willing to enrich the list with their findings and contribute to a further, expanded edition of this extraordinary publication.
