Poet Filip Skoumal says of his photographic debut: "When my mother and I went to light a candle for my father at the New Jewish Cemetery in Olšany in 2021, I was enchanted by the charming shadows and Jewish tombs along the beautiful path by the trees, which I began to photograph. I was fascinated by the invisible tenderness and calm that affected me in these places during that cold autumn. Since then, I have been visiting more and more Czech cemeteries, where I seek peace, inspiration, but also romance. All of this is what I need to live as a poet."
