Description
A family saga set in Předmostí near Přerov. Anděla and Fabián Francovi own an orchard in the heart of fertile Haná, have a shop near the Church of St. Mary Magdalene – and many plans for the future. The Second World War has ended, and they are breathing in freedom. They want to elevate their fruit-growing craft and their little shop, but their sons Teodor and Eduard have diametrically opposed ideas... and the times are not favorable to their parents' intentions. Unfulfilled dreams, the tumultuous year of '48, and the emerging fifties wildly shuffle the cards of their fates. Losing the land, soaked in the sweat and blood of previous generations, ultimately turns out to be just a small bitterness in a series of life events. Fate has prepared something much more terrifying for them...
