Marie Milovská (1936), a graduate of the Agricultural University and a pedagogical study focused on biology, debuted with fairy tales titled Once in the Forest on the Glade and later as a fiction writer with crime novels Murder in the Past Tense and Murder in the Present Tense. While in her previous detective stories she dealt with old mistakes and errors from the past and the period immediately after the revolution in 1989, in this one, titled Murder in the Name of Love, she addresses the issues of contemporary society, the complexity of interpersonal relationships, the desire for power and wealth, and their consequences, leading to the tragic use of death as a solution. It is a story full of emotions, hidden relationships, and twists. After reading this book, you will understand how complex the motives and impulses of human thought and action can be, which anyone of us can succumb to.
