Description
Determination and the desire to prove that verses are not always just about love: this is what led the author Jana Topinková to publish her first collection titled Hockey One Poem. The verses were created immediately after the matches of the Czech national team at the 2016 World Championship. The collection is divided into three parts. The first part contains poems that map all the played matches, from the start of the championship to elimination by the Americans. The second focuses on individual players (whether they participated in the battles or not). The final part includes four poems that, while not directly related to the championship, are inextricably linked to Czech hockey - hockey god Jaromír Jágr, great coach Vladimír Vůjtek, unbeatable commentator Robert Záruba, and a reminder of the tragedy in Yaroslavl. All this and much more can be found in the book Hockey One Poem, which should not be missing from any true fan of this sport.
