This Czech audio adaptation of Anne Frank’s diary was four years in the making. It contains authentic diary entries by Anne Frank published in the Complete Edition, along with documentary texts, testimonies by Otto Frank, Anne’s childhood friend Hanneli Goslar and family friend and helper Miep Gies, as well as scholarly material. The recording consists of fourteen chapters of approximately twenty-five minutes each and features twelve Czech actors. It includes an MP3 CD and a booklet with photographs by Karel Cudlín taken during the recording, an essay by adaptation author Miroslav Bambušek, quotations and information about the adaptation. The adaptation is directed by Miroslav Bambušek, with music by Tomáš Vtípil, and the cast includes Magdaléna Borová as Anne Frank, Zuzana Stivínová as Kitty, Martin Finger as Otto Frank, Gabriela Pyšná as Margot Frank, Eva Salzmannová as Edith Frank, Anežka Šťastná as Hanneli Goslar, Mark Kristián Hochman as Peter van Pels, Lucie Trmíková as Miep Gies, Hana Frejková as Rachel Frankfoorder, Igor Chmela as Hermann van Pels, Magdaléna Sidonová as Auguste van Pels and Miloslav Mejzlík as Fritz Pfeffer.
