The first book edition of the collection found in the estate, consisting of short texts: prose, prose poems, and essays. Ladislav Dvořák has been continuously composing his literary work for adult readers since the early 1970s into three parts, from which the poetry collection Hle nyní (published in the collected edition of poems: Prague, Český spisovatel 1994), the short story cycle Šavle meče (last published in the collected edition of prose: Prague, Torst 1998), and the compilation of short essays and prose notes Sentence (published in Revolver Revue no. 41/1999) emerged. None of these three thematically and motivationally related collections reached an authorially 'definitive form,' and each of them remained a fragment of a developing broader intention, interrupted by the author's premature death. However, this fact pertains only to the scope of the individual parts and their arrangement, not to the individual poems, stories, and notes in the preserved versions of the author's 'final hand.' Dvořák's writing talent, supported by the integrity of his life and creative experience, is fully manifested in this almost triptych – talent in the sense of the verse by František Halas addressing Božena Němcová: 'You knew how to know how not to know,' and the maxim formulated by Jan Lopatka regarding the work...
