Description
This Czech-language textbook is the fourth part of a four-part survival Czech course for lower-intermediate students who already know the basics and want to reach level A2. It is suitable for further study of Czech, short-term courses and students of Czech as a second language living in the Czech Republic. The book follows the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference and supports teaching without an intermediary language. In seven practically focused lessons, students learn to manage and respond in important everyday communication situations, including at an office and a bank, computers and the internet, and education in the Czech Republic. Grammar is kept as simple as possible and is discovered through texts and clear tables. Numerous communication-focused exercises and activities support language learning, while photographs, illustrations and simple comic strips enrich the lessons. The complete course consists of the textbook and workbook, both in Czech, audio recordings of the texts, and an appendix with grammar tables and explanations in four language versions. The appendix also contains an answer key and page-number and alphabetical glossaries. A teacher’s manual and audio recordings are available for free download.
