Description
The fourth volume of the writings consists of letters that the author directly or indirectly addressed to family friend Milena in Switzerland. It includes both real and literary letters, through which the author coped with the shocking reality of the so-called Yom Kippur War (1973), triggered by the attack on Israel by Egyptian and Syrian forces on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). He realistically and imaginatively informed his long-time friend about the state of civil Israeli society as well as his own state of mind, sharing the anxiety he experienced about the existence of his new homeland. In addition to the letters, the volume also contains short stories related to the Yom Kippur War.
