Description
The authors of the book analyze the problem of indoctrination in the educational process and reflect on how this phenomenon influences education and upbringing, as well as the possibilities for prevention and solutions. The first part of the book addresses the issue of defining the term indoctrination and offers three different perspectives on how to approach and define it. The second part presents five contributions that seek answers to the question of how to implement education without indoctrination from various perspectives (pedagogical, philosophical, ethical, psychological).
The common denominator of all chapters in the book is the conviction that education without indoctrination is not only possible but also desirable. This is a thesis that the authors wish to contribute to the current educational discourse, as they consider this topic to be extremely important, even crucial for the preservation and development of a democratic societal arrangement.
