Description
The book "Weeks in a Pair" had a firmly established concept even before its creation – to create textual and photographic records of diverse realities over the course of a year, so that each week a pair would emerge (hence the title of the book) authentically reflecting the world through the author's eyes. Fifty-two weeks of 2019, fifty-two pairs. The texts are neither classic prose nor classic poetry, yet they contain elements of both categories. And much more. Through methods of experimental poetry, calligrams, surreal compositions, or postmodern rhizomatic layering, the boundaries of words, signs, and the text itself are explored. Similarly, the photographs surprise with their unexpected angles, motifs, and compositions. Together, they create impressive intersections of image and text as artistic responses to social and ecological themes, culture, the birth of a child, or simply to the mere, yet stronger, flow of life.
