Description
Prokop Orel, an aging psychologist, set off into the mountains during the winter holidays with his grandson and dog. A snowstorm catches them in the landscape, and the expedition gets stuck in isolation in a log cabin. The white snow idyll changes beyond recognition from one day to the next. Roads are blocked by trees, communication fails, and the frost sets in. And then hope shines through; the storm has passed, and the aging man discovers tracks during his survey of the landscape that remind him of the past. Initially, they bring relief, but as the days go by, they begin to reopen old wounds. Prokop Orel knows well that he cannot escape the past; the extraordinary circumstances force him to reflect on his life and the stories of the people he was closest to. Did he hurt someone, injuring them enough for revenge to triumph over common sense? Dramatic probes into family privacy and professional realms map the life of a man who seeks and finds.
