Description
The book presents a collection of texts by historian F. Kutnar, which have either never been published or have only appeared in regional or foreign periodicals. Kutnar's texts in the anthology are divided into three sections, delineating three levels of his approach to the study of society. The first level (and section) consists of theoretical-methodological essays defining the starting framework for his interpretations of social, political, and cultural events; the second section contains their specifications at the level of social history; and the third presents studies that specify these events at the level of individual occurrences – thus concerning historical figures. At the same time, these three sections reflect three basic themes of Kutnar's research interest – the theory and methodology of historical research, the social history of Czech rural society, and the history of historical thought. The publication was prepared by Magdaléna Pokorná and Zdeněk Beneš.
