Description
In 1945, an alien spaceship and all its technology fall into Nazi hands beyond the Rhine. In nuclear-war-ravaged Moravia, a doctor searches for a rare medicine, while Czechoslovak bomber crews launch attacks on Smolensk. A retired soldier discovers that peace can be more dangerous than many a war. Beyond the known universe, a dangerous alien race and a political conflict are waiting, while a group of hackers must defend a space station against sabotage. Lukáš Berg, Hila Ebanová, Michael Kowalski and other heroes from Jan Kotouč’s fictional worlds return in this wide-ranging collection of short stories, mapping the author’s work over the past two decades. Military science fiction, alternate history, post-apocalyptic and pure fantasy stories appear together here for the first time in revised form, alongside entirely new stories from the worlds of “Hirano Sector,” “Central Empire” and the “Czech Lands.” The contents are in Czech.
