This Czech-language fantasy collection brings together the third volume of the Sorcerer series, containing War with Demons, Ghosts at Devín and Island of the Goddesses. A new age is dawning over the Slavic lands as scattered and often hostile tribes and clans unite and establish the first principalities. The shadow of the cross has already fallen over many, but the age of the old gods is not yet over, and dark apparitions and demons still hunger for human souls. Even the forces of evil have something to fear: the greatest threat is the magical Bloodfire burning in a sanctuary on Boar Mountain. Its guardian is the sorcerer Rogan, Morana's lover and descendant of the mysterious Černoboh. Together with his faithful wolf Goryvlad, he wages a merciless war against demons and travels wherever desperate people call for help. The third volume offers a varied mixture of stories, from a novel and several substantial novellas to short stories. Rogan and Goryvlad encounter mythical beings as well as the young Pribina, Prince Mojmír and the Byzantine envoys Constantine and Methodius.
