Neomars – Heteša Petr (2025)

Neomars is an artificial city in the sea, in international waters, thus outside any land jurisdiction. This high-tech urban structure has risen on six original giant drilling platforms, 360 meters above sea level and 60 meters below it, and this tower is home to one and a half million people. Thanks to advanced technologies, which Neomars strictly guards, it generates an economic output equivalent to one-fifth of the entire United States. But that's not the only anomaly. The crucial one is that only unchipped individuals can reside here, which is not possible on the mainland. Most of Neomars' population fled here from the mainland because they refused to be chipped.
After a terrorist attack in Baltimore, there was suspicion that the perpetrator fled to Neomars, and therefore someone needs to be sent there to bring him back. Of course, that someone was me. Sure, I was chipped, but my boss arranged for the chip to be removed for this mission. That was still bearable. What was worse was that she had a completely different technology implanted in me.
