Description
The metamorph is, according to our myths, an unequivocally promiscuous being whose sense and purpose lie solely in satisfying the sexual needs of others. Our legends degrade it to an object without its own will and goals, a being without morality, without inhibitions, and without honor. A being infinitely changeable and transforming. A being fully identifying with the motto 'Where the wind blows, there goes the cloak.' Our society naturally tends to despise such people and exclude them from its midst, yet metamorphs in our tales are perfect beings both in physical appearance and soul, beings worthy of admiration and enjoying respect and reverence. In our myths, they always appear in solid positions of power, in the status of advisors, protectors, and saviors. And that is the paradox of the metamorph, the causes of which no one has tried to uncover.
