Showman Killer – Jodorowsky Alejandro (2021)

A bit of a metabaron, a lot of a psychopath – Showman Killer, the new anti-hero of the Jodorowsky universe! A heartless, emotionless hitman capable of eliminating anyone if the price is right. Its style resembles the stories from the Metabarons saga, but here there is a greater play with the genre. Although the hero is powerful, ruthless, and equipped with superhuman abilities, his character flaws bring a humor not often seen in Jodorowsky's works. A sense of irony permeates the entire story, which does not shy away from satire or purely comedic scenes. The author pokes fun at the church, contemporary civilization, but mostly at himself, his superhuman characters, and style. This is emphasized by Nicolas Fructus, who really got to unleash his creativity and enjoy both monumental battle scenes and dialogues, jokes, or the suffering the hero experiences as he has to spend his hard-earned money.
