Description
This Czech-language graphic novel continues Jeff Smith’s legendary fantasy epic Bone, a world blending the spirit of The Lord of the Rings with the animated films of Pixar. Strange creatures fill this beautiful yet dangerous realm, including perpetually hungry rat creatures, fighting bees, giant red dragons with cigars, and aggressive grandmothers. The story begins with three peculiar beings fleeing their hometown, continues with a cow race, and ends in a battle for the fate of the world against the mysterious Lord of the Locusts and his hordes. It has everything classic fantasy should offer, apart from perhaps the cow race, while its heroes are decidedly unusual. Humor, emotion, suspense and horror flow seamlessly through a sweeping story that has earned Bone cult status and numerous awards, winning praise from both The Simpsons creator and the creator of The Sandman.
