Description
The soul of each of us longs for change, and immobility is a slow death that lurks anywhere: around the next corner, in abandoned parking lots, or in hotels crowded with tourists. Cristian Crusat, a Spaniard by father and a Dutch by mother, has enchanted all the dreams of the world into six short stories through his mastery. For 'A Brief Theory of the Journey' and 'The Desert', he received the European Union Prize for Literature in 2013. The jury praised the book as 'extraordinarily universal and stylistically diverse prose, in which the author guides his characters over the abyss of fears, doubts, and desires that make up the contemporary world.'
