Description
Fifteen-year-old Craig Gilner is at his wit's end; at his dream school, he is achieving only average results, unable to keep up with the pace of learning, unable to cope with life. He spends his evenings hanging out with his best friend, and the cycle of obligations and escapes triggers depression in him. He decides to end it all by jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge... Ned Vizzini's autobiographical novel humorously describes what ordinary life looks like in a psychiatric ward, while also being a serious probe into the mind afflicted by depression.
