Description

How do people who long for solitude live, or those who, due to adverse circumstances, have willingly thrown themselves into solitude? What lonely places do they seek?
What do they dream about and what do they desire?
Let's take a look into the fate of a few of them. The most famous hermit in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids was the hermit Felix at Pustevny, the son of the mayor Malina from Horní Bečva. According to some reports, he served as a hermit at Pustevny until the hermitage was abolished.
Another hermit at Pustevny was a certain Onufrius, originally from Bohemia, who made rosaries but later died as a churchwarden in Frenštát.
It is said that several individuals in Bohemia and Moravia currently live a hermit's life, although being a hermit today is not particularly difficult, it is still terribly bleak.
